THE DOCUMENTARY OF THE MONTH IN URUGUAY
On the 27th of July the initiative is presented in Montevideo (Uruguay). The launching premiere will be “Pecados de mi Padre”, by Nicolás Entel, and will take place in the framework of the documentary festival for Latin American televisions DocMontevideo, held in this city from 26th to 30th of July. The screening will count on the presence of Sebastián Marroquín, Colombian drug-trafficker Pablo Escobar’s son and main character of the film.
From then on, three cinemas in three Uruguayan cities will program regularly The Documentary of the Month: Casablanca in Montevideo, Cine Colonia Shopping in Colonia, and Punta del Este in Maldonado. The usual premiere date in the three theatres will be the first Thursday of the month, as in many other venues of the network, but on this occasion, as an exemption, the film will be screened on Thursday 29th July.
Although since April 2010 the University of Córdoba is part of The Documentary of the Month network, by the end of August, Argentinean audience will be able to enjoy a new great real story each month in different venues located in the three more important cities of the country: Buenos Aires, El Rosario and Córdoba.
