The Documentary of the Month gets dressed up for the occasion of April's premiere, Burma VJ, Oscar nominee for the Best Documentary Feature in 2010. And it doeas because of the presence of the director Anders Østergaard in Barcelona on April 8th to introduce the film and answer to the questions of the audience after the screening. Burma VJ, focused on a group of young Burmese video journalists reporting the critical situation in their country to the international community through the footage recorded with their handycams, provides a thorough documentation of the historical and dramatic days of September 2007, when the Buddhist monks started marching, and is a unique insight into high-risk journalism and dissidence in a police state.
