SYNOPSIS

Ever since the army introduced ice hockey in the Indian province of Ladakh, this sport has been dominated by men. In 2005, a group of girls decide they also have the right to participate in the national championship. In order to achieve this, Dolkar, a young Buddhist woman and her girlfriends have to organize themselves and create all that is needed from scratch, everything from ice hockey skates and sticks to the very ice they skate on. They even travel over the mountain to a Muslim village in the Himalayas to recruit other girls and create a joint team.

Putting aside their religious differences, Buddhist and Muslim girls add their efforts and fight for their rights both on the ice and beside the rink, challenging the men of the Winter Sports Club, and demonstrating that they are capable of playing and competing in this sport.
